Fits (seizures) and epilepsy
Fits with fever (febrile seizures) are most common between 6 months and 5 years of age. Epilepsy is a brain condition that causes repeated fits with no clear trigger.

- Your child has jerking or stiffening of the muscles
- Your child seems confused or not fully aware
- Your child has staring spells

Your child’s body is moving in ways they cannot control
